Acorns had a fantastic day in the life of a Victorian child.

Mr Green has kindly continued our gardening club for us, Thank you Mr Green! 

All of the children, from every class, worked together to create Christmas banners to hang from the rafters of the church.  Here is a small section of one of them.

Acorns children learned tonal paint and brush stroke techniques whilst creating some pirate ship art.

Today Acorns visited ‘The Earth Science Centre’ at Moonshill quarry in Stoke St Michael.

Our whole school Science trip to ‘We the Curious’ during Science week this summer was a huge success. The children learned how to create animations which they then sent back to school for all to enjoy. In addition, the Star gazing in the planetarium evoked much excitement in the lead up to August in hope that we will be ‘wishing upon a star!’

Oaks class had a royal day to introduce their new topic on Kings and Queens.

Dr Tom Robson came to school with his dog to talk to the children about how Gem Learning Power works.

Before our minutes silence this morning, Reception were using their play dough tuff tray to learn about why we remember our soldiers using poppies.

Children of all ages gathered together in our Art Room to create two beautiful painted banners to mark the Harvest Festival. The delightful banners exemplify the ‘Terrific Topaz Team Work Power’ we have in our school and can be seen hanging from the rafters in the church in Stoke St Michael for all the community to enjoy.

The children in Key Stage 2 at Stoke St Michael have been designing and making some wonderful Anglo Saxon Brooches.
