Croscombe CofE & Stoke St Michael Primary Federation Governing Body
Our governing body is drawn from the Stoke St Michael and Croscombe school communities. They are all volunteers who give freely of their time and we are eternally grateful for their dedication and commitment. They help to run the schools and monitor what we are doing. Many are familiar faces in the schools and are known to parents, staff and children alike.
Below you will find links to a list of basic governor details – which gives you an idea of their responsibilities, term of office etc. There is also a register of business interests and an attendance register for meetings.
Our most recent agreed minutes and other Governor documents are available through the links below.
A note from the governors
Federation Leadership Restructuring
During the last 6 months of 2019 the Governing Body carried out an assessment of the Leadership and Management structure. The result of this assessment was a proposal to reduce the amount being invested in leadership and thereby allowing us to increase the amount being invested in teaching and teaching resources. This is going to be achieved with a leaner leadership structure comprising of a part-time Head of Federation, combined with 2 individual Head of Schools. The cost savings provided by this new structure will enable us to operate the same 3 class structure at both schools and also employ an extra teacher to provide in-house cover when other teachers are spending time on admin duties, training and personal development.
As of 01.04.2020 this new structure has been partially rolled out - we have two head of school in place - but the COVID-19 impact has meant that the recruitment of the Head of Federation has had to be put in hold. The Governors expected the new structure to be fully in place by 01.09.20.
