Investigating forces

With May the fourth coming up, Oak class are investigating forces!

Oaks have been investigating how different surfaces can cause friction and what impact that has on the force of gravity. They used rulers to measure the height at which each ramp had to be raised in order for the toy car to move and then compared the different surfaces to see which one caused the most friction. The different surfaces were made of wood, carpet, sandpaper, foam, foil and parchment paper.

Which one do you think caused the most friction?

Oaks will be doing more learning about 'forces' next week! If you would like more information on the Science Curriculum, then please click here
