Virtual Visit..
A Novel Approach!
Our year Fives and Sixes had the wonderful opportunity to meet and put questions to Jasbinder Bilan, a Costa award winning children's author.
Jasbinder read to the class from her latest mystical adventure mystery 'Tamarind and The Star of Ishta'. Jasbinder also shared with the children the story of her own proud British Asian heritage, from which she had drawn inspiration for the central character.
Many thanks go to Jasbinder and also to Bug McKaig from The Wells Literary Festival who helped organise the virtual event and their generous sponsors who provided the funds to allow each pupil to have a personal copy of the book.
