Christingle
Christmas Jumpers & Christingles
On Christmas Jumper Day we raised money for Save The Children and made our own Christingles.
Christingles are Christian symbols that originate from Germany. The orange represents the earth, the sweets the fruits of the earth, the red ribbon represent the suffering of Jesus and the candle represents the light Jesus brings to the world.
Many thanks to Shepton Mallet Tesco and Aldi, Glastonbury for supplying the oranges.
