Amazing Africa
Acorns class topic is tasty!
As part of their African topic this term, Acorns have been hearing the story of Handa and her friend Akeyo from the book Handa's Supprise by Eileen Browne.
These were some comments from Acorns when they tried some of the fruits which Handa took to her friend Akeyo:
‘The avocado was creamy’.
‘I loved the mango’.
‘The pineapple was sweet’.
The class have also been designing their own African fruit and creating some tools to use to cut it. We also learnt how to tell if a pineapple was ripe.
