Take a look at our Torah!
Acorns class have been learning about Judaism. They learnt that Torah in Hebrew means ‘teaching’ and they made their own scrolls by rolling paper, then practised making up their own scribe based on the Hebrew writing.
Torah are entirely handwritten and cannot have any mistakes. A completed Torah is so sacred to Jews it is said that if one is accidentally dropped in the synagogue the whole congregation must fast for 40 days... Lets hope Acorns keep a tight hold on their finished scrolls!
