Green Fingers

Owls get picking!

Today Owl Class have gone out into the school polytunnel to harvest some crops and were delighted to see what they had grown. The class previously planted radishes and today have been able to see the success of their green fingered skills.

The class wanted to find out the difference in taste between the different types of radishes. Some of them were quite hot!

"I'm normally good with spice, but that is HOT!"  remarked Roman. Everybody grabbed their water bottles straight after tasting!

Growing their own vegetables ties in with Miss Foord's class topic of Eco Warriors. This enrichment activity not only deepens the children's understanding of sustainability but also provides beneficial exercise and fresh air for all!
