Roman Baths

The visit started with activities at the Roman Bath's Education Centre. The children were able to design their own mosaics, dress up in togas and tunics, learn about the history of the Baths and handle real artifacts that the Roman's used to clean themselves.

They then were able to experience an archeological dig using trowels and brushes to discover hidden roman objects in the gravel pit and match roman stone remains to their position in the Bathhouse.

Finally, the children were able to explore the Roman Baths with the aid of an audio guide and experience the likely sights and sounds that would have existed thousands of years ago. They all agreed that it had been an exciting and interesting day!
