Farm Visit - Owls Class

What a delightful time! Owl Class listened so well to an informative tour by welcoming Farmer

Jeremy of Church Farm. Who would have thought that digging holes would be so fun while

learning about micro-rganisms, biodiversity and ecosystems. The children learnt about the

different, rotating crops on the farm, what the produce is made into after it leaves the farm

and how the farm has needed to diversify over the years. We were all amazed at how much

technology is used on the farm as well (e.g. cattle weighing troughs, fertilizer checking

rones and beehives that detect how far pollinators have travelled!)

"I didn't know that I would learn so much!"

said Felix at the end of the day.

Farmer Sue, gave the children some packs of flour ready for our next bread making adventure!
